ABOUT ME

Born on 14 June 2006, Matteo Franz Arrighini is currently studying piano at the ‘L. Boccherini’ Conservatory in Lucca with Professor Riccardo Peruzzi and composition at the ‘Sinfonia’ Music School in Lucca with Professor Pietro Rigacci. He has won numerous piano competitions, including the 9th edition of the Clara Wieck Schumann International Competition, the 29th edition of the Riviera della Versilia International Competition, and the 5th edition of the “Città di Lucca” Piano Competition, and has won prizes at international composition competitions such as first prize at the Global Young Musicians Competition in Gdansk, third prize at the Opus 2026 International Music Competition in Krakow, both with the “Scherzo in C sharp major” and second prize at the 8th edition of the Carlo Sanvitale International Composition Competition with the original piece “Danza degli Scheletri” (Dance of the Skeletons), which was subsequently performed on tour by pianist Giacomo di Tollo at the Casa Barezzi Museum in Busseto (Parma) and at the Terrazza Eischen in Luxembourg. He is also active as a composer of soundtracks for short films such as “Emicrania” (2024), winner at the Foggia Film Festival 2024 (High School Awards), ‘Inferno Dentro’ (2025), winner at Videocinema&scuola Pordenone film festival,  and ‘Il Pungolo della Carne’, and has numerous musical compositions published by the New Fruit company of composer and arranger Emilio Tieri. Since November 2025, he has been a member of the CCTS (Technical Scientific Cultural Committee) of the ‘Michel De Montaigne’ Cultural Foundation and, since January 2026, he has been a member of SIMC (Italian Society of Contemporary Music) and the Laboratorio Brunier Artistic Cultural Association.
